Born from compassion, built for humanity.
What stands today as Nanda Medical Center began, in 1986, with a simple act of compassion. Its founder, Late Sri H.R. Nanda, an honest man who could have enjoyed his wealth alone, as most of us would, was instead moved by a small incident to make an offering to society. From that grew a hospital built not for profit, but for people.
Four decades on, that humble beginning has become a lifeline for the 8 to 10 villages around Chattarpur, with around 60,000 patients treated every year. Through it all, Nanda has stood on one simple promise, to serve all humanity, irrespective of caste, creed or religion, practising every modality of holistic care in the true spirit of the profession, towards one goal: wellbeing.
Our logo says it best, the hand of Buddha cradling a flower, the blessing of health and healing offered to all who walk through our doors. This is an offering from our family charitable trust, for the common good of society.
